Thinking again about who could play Bailey, if WKRP were re-cast today.
The same site which had those Jan Smithers and Stacey Williams pics also had some of Courteney Cox in her younger years. I suppose she could have played Bailey, but only in her younger years, when she had a more innocent and wholesome air about her. One problem is that, like Stacey Williams, her looks were a bit too striking -- they immediately jumped out at you, whereas Bailey had a more subdued (but undeniable) type of beauty.

Where was I? Oh, yeah... Bailey Quarters. Perhaps a young Dawn Wells could have played Bailey, but that'd be too obvious, especially with the inevitable Ginger/Mary Ann and Jennifer/Bailey comparisons.
